Rednal can manufacture any size or type of expansion or surge tank to any pressure code and in any material. Pressures run to 25 bar and temperatures can be as high as 95°C or as low as 4°C, unless our patented Superheated Expansion tank is employed which can accommodate water at 180°C.
Typical uses for expansion tanks and anti-surge vessels would include fire control systems, water treatment, pumping systems, heating networks and district heating systems. The expansion tanks can be fitted with rubber membranes to prevent oxygen absorption or conversely can use Rednal’s unique Vacuum based de-aeration tank – this works by introducing a vacuum into the tank by means of negative pressure pumps used for system pressurization.
Rednal’s patented Superheated Expansion tank is currently in service with companies across the world including Airbus, Arcelor Mittal and Michelin amongst many. The patent covers a unique method of mixing water so as to avoid any noise during the operation of the system.
