Testing

In house Leak Testing is a simple accurate test which is useful in testing most atmospheric vessels, detects leakage rates as well as providing specification of allowable leakage rates and limits.  Any abnormalities can be corrected in-house to ensure the safety and reliability of each product.

Air Leak testing is sensitive and pressure-controlled allowing the testing of all products in a totally safe manner without compromising accuracy. We provide in-house Leak Testing using air processes. We apply this test on all vessels where internal moisture may be a problem and it also allows us to correct any anomalies quickly and safely.

Our non-destructive testing service also includes Dye Penetrant Testing, which aids visual inspection in the detection of cracks and other surface faults in manufacture. All non-absorbent materials such as stainless steel or high spec alloys are capable of using this service. The test ensures the structural integrity of the fabrication in a safe and effective manner. This is a quick and easy surface inspection technique which is suitable for a wide range of industries.

The Hydrostatic Test is our standard test for flaws and leaks in pressure vessels, pipelines and valves with welded sections. Strain gauges and chart recorders can be fitted. The process involves gradually increasing the pressure inside the tank to greater than normal operating pressures, bearing in mind the problems of leaks closing due to over-pressurisation.
